    Agent meets with congressional committee holding hearing on drugs in baseball (AP)

    -->

    New York Yankees' Andy Pettitte reacts before being removed from their baseball game against the Oakland Athletics after he gave up eight runs on nine hits in one and two-thirds innings at Yankee Stadium in New York, in this July 1, 2007 file photo. Pettitte's meeting with a congressional committee investigating drug use in baseball was postponed until Monday, Feb. 4, 2008. He originally was slated to appear for a deposition or transcribed interview on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

    An employee of the sports agency that represents Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte spoke Thursday to the congressional committee investigating drugs in baseball. The agent, Jim Murray, was the first person known to have been interviewed by lawyers for the committee, which will hold a Feb. 13 hearing focusing on Clemens’ denial of allegations in the Mitchell Report.
